I, Cinna
Chicago Shakespeare - 2021
Set in a Chicago apartment during the 2020 pandemic, this box set was designed to have the clutter and mess of an artist trapped while the world falls apart around him. The goal was to feel trapped in the apartment with him, and thus the dressing was crafted to draw the audience in. The last second to last scene depicted the artist's purgatory having his apartment filled with crumpled paper.
Realism and details were especially important as it was being filmed at multiple close up angles.

Hazardous Materials
Creede Repertory Theatre - 2019
New play that takes jumps between the past and the present in one woman's apartment. The present apartment was the result of a hoarder who died and the play revolves around the clean up crew uncovering her life (pun intended). Creating organized chaos for actors to interact with was a technical challenge, but ultimately very successful.

Wife Material
Underscore Theatre - 2019
Fully dressed bar, as the audience was encouraged to sit directly on the stage, as well as interact with the space. The bar was covered with posters and other signs that related directly to the shows content, including feminism, queer liberation and sex positive messaging.

Marathon 33
University of Northern Colorado - 2016
Actors were often used as set dressing in this play about dance marathons. Every actor had at least two items of busy work to create the sense of constant movement and activity onstage. Some of these many pieces included a portable chess set, knitting, crossword puzzles, make up kits, and more that all had to be useable while actively dancing.
